GUELPH. INTERNET Storefront Services (INetSS) is proud to announce the addition of a new and exciting service - Secure Transactions. INetSS can now construct Internet Storefronts or WWW sites which utilize secure server technology developed by Netscape Communications Inc. of California. Netscape is among the leaders in WWW application development - its WWW browser (Netscape) is among the most widely used throughout the World.
Security on the Internet is a concern for most consumers who wish to purchase goods and/or services using a credit card. Information such as credit card numbers is not normally secure from "hackers" who steal the numbers for personal use. Secure server technology such as that developed by the Netscape company eliminates the security threat posed by "hackers" on the net and ensures that sensitive information entered by consumers using Netscape browser software (Netscape version 1.1 or newer) remains secure.
In a comprehensive consumer survey of Internet users, 60% of respondents reflected that "providing credit information on-line is just plain foolish". Security concerns were a major reason (56%) for consumers choosing not to purchase products/services on-line. The advent of secure servers is seen by the majority of Internet authorities as a solution to these security concerns. Clients of INetSS who utilize this new technology will have a competitive edge over thousands of competing "cyber-" businesses.
INetSS provides consultation and electronic storefront development services to businesses and organizations who wish to take advantage of the rapidly expanding INTERNET. INetSS is located in Guelph, and serves businesses and organizations located in the Technology Triangle and throughout southwestern Ontario.

GUELPH. INTERNET Storefront Services is proud to announce the storefront opening of Ontario Computer Fairs. Ontario Computer Fairs storefront can be found in the MarknetPlace, on the globally accessible World Wide Web (WWW) at:
http://www.marknetplace.com/marknet/ocf.html.
Ontario Computer Fairs (OCF) has organized and hosted one and two-day consumer focused fairs throughout Ontario for the past 6 years. OCF has succeeded at producing events which provide the best possible value for both consumers and exhibitors. The next computer fair in Kitchener is scheduled for October 1st, 1995.
OCF' Internet storefront contains valuable information for potential fair exhibitors and consumers alike. Businesses considering the prospect of exhibiting at any of the 6 provincial fairs can find contact and event information within the storefront. In addition, potential exhibitors can actually apply for exhibitor status on-line from within the storefront. The general public will also benefit from visiting OCF's Internet storefront. Consumers can easily find the dates, times, locations and admission costs for each of the provincial fairs. And as a bonus, consumers can print-out discount coupons from within the Internet storefront. These coupons can be used for admission to any of the fairs this Autumn.

March 22, 1995
GUELPH. Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo
and Cambridge businesses can now gain a competitive edge using the
information superhighway. INTERNET
Storefront Services (INetSS) offers businesses professional and
inexpensive access to commerce on the global INTERNET.
INetSS provides local businesses with the means to market and sell their
products and services to an estimated 20 to 30 million (and growing)
computer users connected to the global computer network known as the
INTERNET.
INetSS clients will market and sell their products and/or services
using electronic storefronts located in a marketplace on the INTERNET.
Establishing an electronic storefront is one of the easiest and least expensive
ways for businesses to market and sell products/services to the global market,
as well as making further inroads in their local market. Electronic storefronts
are open around the clock. People from throughout the world can browse
through these storefronts at their leisure: viewing pictures of products,
reading descriptions of products or services, and requesting more
information from the store owner regarding her/his products or services. In
addition, customers can order products just as one orders from a catalog.
Better still, subscribing businesses benefit from the difference between the
Canadian and American dollar. Canadian businesses are in a strategic
position on the INTERNET because of the current position of the Canadian
dollar relative to the American dollar. American shoppers, who comprise the
majority of INTERNET users, can easily cross the border and browse
through electronic storefronts without leaving the comfort of their homes.
Staking a claim in this INTERNET marketplace is an unprecedented
opportunity for local businesses.
INetSS provides consultation and electronic storefront development
services to businesses who wish to take advantage of the INTERNET for
commerce. In addition, INetSS is constructing an easy to access, graphically
rich INTERNET marketplace to house the storefronts of subscribing
businesses. The MarknetPlace
as it will be referred to on the INTERNET, will include special areas
for independent and broker listed real estate, local arts and craft artisans,
industrial product suppliers, social agencies, political parties, and special
interest groups. Additional areas will be created in the MarknetPlace to
accommodate new subscribing companies as the need arises.
